How fees work
Insurance we work with
Dr. Guerra is out of network with insurance plans. Many PPO plans can reimburse part of an out-of-network visit, and we can give you what you need to ask your plan. We do not bill Medicare or Medi-Cal.

If you pay yourself
Your fee is given to you in writing before you book, and it is the same for every session. A limited number of reduced-fee sessions are held; ask when you write to us. HSA and FSA cards work for sessions.

Receipts for reimbursement
Each month we can send an itemized receipt, called a superbill, to the person who pays. It carries a diagnosis code, which your plan will see. Your plan decides whether it pays you back, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before you start, and we give you one in writing in advance. If a bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
Checking your benefits
Before your first session we go through your out-of-network benefits with you and tell you what to ask your plan. We cannot promise what a plan will pay.
